In his tenure under the leadership of Union MSME Minister (then) Kalraj Mishra, Singh has been on the look-out for the growth and full-fledged development of the MSMEs given the continuous faith invested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the potential that micro, small and medium enterprises inherit to drive the economy of India.
“I ensure to develop the nation on back of MSME sector. Through MSMEs we will fulfill the ‘job creation’ and ‘grossroot upliftment’ dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said Giriraj Singh on his appointment as the independent charge minister.

The 2017 reshuffle comes after the MSME sector has experienced a high jolt with two major reforms brought about by current NDA government – Demonetisation and GST. The continuity of an experience holding minister may bring about significant thrust to the industry.
