In his Facebook live, followed by a series of tweets on September 6, the Industry Minister said that he is committed to promote these “young” entrepreneurs and reassured that the ecosystem has his and the Ministry’s full support.
The Industry Minister told in the released video that on taking charge of his new office after the recent Cabinet reshuffle, PM Modi asked of him to “look at the entire ecosystem and promote start-ups in a big way”. He added on to assure that entrepreneurs daring to think differently have “the power of the state behind them.”
“The world is changing so fast that if we look around, we can see opportunities knocking at our door. Start-up is an opportunity to take advantage of change and a start-up itself is a trigger for change. It is process which starts with new thinking and commitment to do something different,” he said.
“To be a leading company of tomorrow one needs to start today. The future is extremely bright for those willing to take risk by thinking differently and involving into economic activity right away. Start-ups are part of my responsibility, community, and family because as a minister in-charge of this (Ministry), we are committed to promote start-ups in India,” he added.
The Minister reminded that the government has created a corpus of Rs 10,000 crore and provides guarantees of Rs 2,000 crore. He said that Ministry has created a hub to address the queries in real-time to support start-ups.
“Earlier you were facing headwinds, now, you will get tailwinds. I can assure you that I will do my best to ensure that the start-up community succeeds, excels and shines,” he concluded.
