The hub will be a part of an upcoming industrial township in Howrah district, without disturbing any existing activity, which the government is likely to announce in coming three months, Sinha informed.
As per information, the township will be spread across some 20,000-30,000 acres of land in Howrah with proposed industrial parks. Of this some 50 kilometers will be dedicated to an MSME exclusive hub. Government investment could be in the tune of Rs 2,000 crore and the area is estimated to attract investment worth Rs 46,000 crore.
The proposed township and hub are expected to accelerate the industrial growth, especially that of micro, small and medium enterprises, in the state and bring about economic boost. The draft of the township is in the offing and next three months may come up with a formal announcement.
