The scheme will be implemented with a total budget of Rs 85.705 crore along with the Centre’s contribution of Rs 58.105 crore in the period between 2017-20.
To skill industry ready workforce through Tool Rooms, three separate MoUs have also been exchanged between the Ministry & SAP India, Intel and HMT.

The Ministry also felicitated the best of MSME entrepreneurs with National MSME Awards.
While addressing the gathering, Kalraj Mishra said, “Today is a remarkable day as for the first time MSME Day is being celebrated internationally. Indian MSMEs are diverse in terms of size, technological level, product range, auto component, micro processor, electronic component etc. I am grateful to these units who, irrespective of sizes, are adopting and promoting Digital India, and for them we have launched the Digital MSME scheme.”
Mishra congratulated the National MSME Award winners and said that MSMEs offer different categories of products and services to meet the requirement of local and global markets. To achieve the dream of Prime Minister Modi to make India a manufacturing hub and achieve a double-digit GDP, development of MSMEs is a must.
The Union Minister also informed that Ministry is planning on organising Cluster-based MSME Awards to felicitate successful entrepreneurs from all major clusters. Also, the Ministry will honor women entrepreneurs with excellence awards separately in collaboration with National Small Scale Industries Association (NSIC).
The event took place in the august presence of both the MoS – Giriraj Singh and Haribhai P Chaudhary, soon to be out-going Secretary K K Jalan and Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner S N Tripathi.
