Nepal PM impressed with Telangana’s start-up incubator; To replicate ‘T-Hub’ in his nation

Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has put forth the willingness to replicate Telangana government-launched start-up incubator ‘T-Hub’ in his country. The PM expressed appreciation for the incubator during his interaction with Telangna officials on the recent visit to the Hub.

In this regard, a team of Nepal government officials will visit the state alongwith business leaders to discuss and layout a roadmap for the replication project with Telangana government, informed Telangana Principal Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan.

“He (Deuba) was very much impressed with the concept of T-Hub. He said his officials and delegation members will soon get in touch with us to work out a possible tie-up for replicating T-Hub concept in Nepal,” Ranjan told PTI.

The Prime Minister is on a five-day visit to India and arrived in Hyderabad for two days. Impressed by the IT growth in the city, he also visited the Infosys branch.

T-Hub is India’s largest incubator for start-ups, located in Hyderabad, Telangana. It is termed as India’s fastest growing start-up engine catalyzing innovation, scale and deal flow. The Hub is a unique public/private partnership between the government of Telangana, three of India’s premier academic institutes (IIIT-H, ISB & NALSAR) and key private sector leaders. It stands at the intersection of the start-up, academic, corporate, research and government sectors.
