Seedstars world is coming to Delhi to find the best tech start-up in India

Seedstars World,  the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes is coming to India for the 4th time. With the support of local Seedstars Ambassador Apoorv Bamba, from Startup Safari, Seedstars World will be hosting a dynamic pitching event at the coworking space 91Springboard. 8 of the best seed stage startups in India will be invited to pitch for the opportunity to compete at the Seedstars Summit, which takes place annually in Switzerland.

In line with its mission to shine a spotlight on tech entrepreneurs from emerging markets, Seedstars World is travelling to more than 70 countries in 2017 to identify the best seed-stage entrepreneurs and provide them with the opportunity to win up to $1 million, and network with investors and mentors from around the world at the Seedstars Summit. Previous Seedstars World competition participants have raised over $61 million collectively, providing employment to more than 800 people worldwide.

With a strong network of international partners such as BBVA, Merck, Enel, TRECC, Standard Bank, and Deloitte, Seedstars World is looking for innovative startups that solve regional issues and develop profitable products for the global market, with the aim of supporting the growth of these businesses.

The companies selected to pitch at the Seedstars Delhi event need to be less than 2 years old, have raised less than $500,000 in funding and have built a minimum viable product, ideally with existing traction.

“Seedstars World is a platform connecting investors to the next generation of entrepreneurs, outside of Silicon Valley and Western Europe. This will be our 4th time organizing our event in India, and given the bustling nature of the startup ecosystem, we expect the quality of the startups to be very high,” explains Nick Feneck, Regional Manager at Seedstars World. “We are excited to be coming back, and cannot wait to discover this year’s most promising Indian tech startups.”

In order to provide local entrepreneurs with this opportunity and aiming to deliver the best possible event, Seedstars World is working closely with BTG Legal, a law firm supporting startups and ecosystem builders such as accelerators, investors and intermediaries.

Further support is provided by Chatur Ideas, Stepup 360 and Young Indians, to source the best startups from the country.
