Survey of sick industrial units being conducted in Haryana

Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Vipul Goel on October 16 said a survey of sick industrial units in the State is being conducted to identify possibilities for their revival.

The Minister while speaking at a function organised on the occasion of Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti at Gurgaon said that with a view to encourage micro, small and medium enterprises, the State Government is considering a scheme to provide panchayati land on lease to such units on long-term basis.

It is also being considered to reduce power tariffs for industries, he added.

Reiterating Haryana Government’s commitment towards overall development of industries in the State, he said that the entire state had been divided into four clusters under the new Enterprises Promotion Policy. Concessions are also being provided to entrepreneurs for setting up units in areas where there are few or no industries, he said.

The Minister also paid floral tributes to Maharaja Agrasen on this occasion.
