Haryana Govt will sponsor 3 student teams’ start-up ideas

During the Happening Haryana Global summit which was held on 7th and 8th March, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Industry and Commerce Minister Captain Abhimanyu Singh selected three teams of students after a competition that selected the best ideas for a start-up.

The Haryana government has decided to sponsor the start-up ideas of these three winning teams, each comprising of 14 students. The majority of students from the three winning teams from NorthCap University, Gurgaon.

The top three winning teams of this competition were rewarded with a support of Rs 20,000, trophies and certificates of recognition by the Haryana Government. Apart from this, the start-up accelerator chamber has decided to provide space and Wi-Fi for three-six months to the winners. The winning team is Team “Tag On’ comprising of Shubham Dupta, Shubham Dawra, Shubhashree Das, Sidharth Saxena and Sugash Pandey from The NorthCap University and Prateek and Shweta from Manav Rachna.

Team ‘Farm Net’ from IIM Rohtak secured the second position. Team Bloodline comprising of Vineet Gupta, Pranav Jain, Palash Chhabra and Artika Manchanda from The NorthCap University and Shubhanshu Goyal from DCE got the third position.

In the preliminary rounds, over 300 students from about 50 colleges and universities from over 21 districts of Haryana participated and pitched their ideas for startups. In the semi-final round, ten teams were selected for the final round.
