SAP and CIIE to target investable regional startups in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Pune

Indian Institute of Management- Ahmedabad’s (IIM-A) incubator CIIE and global IT player SAP India launched second edition of startup accelerator to mentor and build capacities of 30 startups by 2017 by targeting regional startups.

The accelerator program at Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) aims at identifying investable regional start-ups, catalyzing participation of regional stakeholders including domain experts, angels and academics, to foster regional entrepreneurship ecosystem.

“We are going to raise the number of startups from eight to 30 targeting at regional players in Pune, Gujarat and Rajasthan” said Dilipkumar Khandelwal, Managing Director, SAP Labs India. Started in 2015, the SAP-CIIE Startup accelerator program had eight startup from its last year startup finalist batch.

Apart from these, two other initiatives were also announced – propelling over 200 up-and-coming youth entrepreneurs, and prospecting for three entrepreneurial individuals to become ‘Innovation Fellows’ at CIIE.
