Smytten raises undisclosed fund in an angel round from Rajan Anandan

Premium products and services discovery and purchase platform Smytten has raised an undisclosed amount in an angel round from Rajan Anandan, Vice-President of Google for Southeast Asia and India. The lifestyle focused mobile application ties up with brands to work on their marketing campaigns and customer analytics, apart from working as an affiliate.

“We will be launching a new vertical for curated premium experiences for fine dining, events around wine tasting and others for Delhi and Mumbai soon,” said Swagat Sarangi, Cofounder of Smytten.

“Apart from this, majority of our sales are generated through wellness and beauty services and we will expand those to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.”

The platform has tied up with over 80 brands so far with the exception of apparel and fashion categories. With margins ranging from 25% to 40%, the platform also works with brands for analytics on new product launches, consumer survey and feedback. Smytten had previously raised Rs 1.2 crore in seed funds from Rimpal Chawla, former MD of Credit Suisse; and Anuj Srivastava, Founder of Livspace.
