Background of Promoters

There are currently 2 Founders, myself and Mohit Gupta. I worked for couple of years in Idea Cellular Ltd. after which I shifted to Flipkart in their marketing division and got exposed to digital marketing and got hooked to the same. I left Flipkart after marriage and then shifted to Ludhiana where there were no job prospects for my field of expertise. To hone my skills in the digital marketing field and to grow both academically and professionally, I did a certified course from Digital Vidya and started freelancing as a digital marketing consultant. It was en route to me building my practice that I found the need for CrescendoSPeak and my partner and I started the same.

Mohit handles a manufacturing unit with 80 plus workforce but his chief interest is in new and innovative tech driven ideas and hence, the inception of CrescendoSPeak.

The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!

Being from a non-tech background, developing an absolutely tech driven product was a challenge in itself. Moreover selecting cost effective vendors who could be trusted with the work was another pain point. I got cheated and duped by 2 vendors before I could finally get a great team to work on CrescendoSPeak.

Like a mother I can recount all of CrescendoSPeak’s 1sts on my fingertips. The 1st time we made the URL live; How me and my Co-Founder came up with the name; The relevance of the name; The 1st FREE client; The 1st Paid client; Every milestone has a story & a memory attached with it.

The journey so far!

The journey has been, and is still, like an endless road trip. There have been phases of smooth highway 120kmph drives where the vendors are happy and customers are super satisfied, giving great recommendations. There also have been moments of close escape just short of an accident where the entire team worked together continuously day & night without an ounce of lethargy or complaint and kept the business running.

I feel super blessed to have the perfect Co-Founder and a great team who accompany me on this journey; whom I can trust with the wheels of my business.

Right now we are taking one step at a time. We all know that the start-up industry is extremely dynamic; but in the next 3 years we aim to make our product and deliverables strong and adapt as per the need and requirement of the users, company & industry. Being a tech product we strongly believe in constant innovation. We already have a plan for the next 3 versions of the product but the focus will always be to perfect one version and learn from our mistakes before implementing the next one.

Key moments of reckoning in business life

There was this one time when after months of efforts we had finally closed on an amazing deal with a high profile client. Everything was perfect; we even started working on a prototype for the client; when one fine day we received a mail stating that due to change in company management/policy (or some other fancy word) they are scrapping all vendor projects for now.

It was a devastating moment. As an owner of a business any change in external environment that affects my business is my responsibility to overcome. It was one of life’s great leanings and made me stronger as a person.

The feelings on getting the first big order / contract for your company

It was an absolutely ecstatic moment of mixed emotions. The day we signed our 1st big order was the day I literally patted myself on the back and felt a weird new surge of confidence that if I could come to this point from just an idea in my head, I can literally do anything if I set my mind to it. And we celebrate all the 1sts. With the dynamic nature of today’s start-up culture, you should always enjoy the journey as well.
