Background of Promoter

I did my Bachelor’s in Communications and post graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from Aligarh Muslim University. Later, I went on to pursue Senior Management Program in Strategy and Leadership from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. A true entrepreneur at heart, I realized the need of quality services at affordable rates in beauty salon industry segment. After finding out that there was no brand operating in the budget segment, I conceptualized Glam Studios, which is a tech-driven brand of affordable salons.

The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!

Every entrepreneur faces challenges while making his/her dream a reality. The sense of achievement motivates them and the fire in the belly keeps them going in all the highs and lows. For me, the most challenging task was to acquire our first salon on our terms and conditions.

The journey so far!

It has been an exciting journey for us with lots of highs and lows. Within a span of 11 months we have become the largest salon chain of Delhi-NCR with 70+ outlets and have served more than 25k customers.

Strategic Alliances & Partnerships

We have partnered with Lotus, Wella, GKat B2B level where to increase our customer base we did a few alliances with NewU (Dabur), Big Bazaar and Shoppers Stop etc.

The future, as you see, 3 years from now in terms of scope & scale of your business enterprise

I am working along with the team to make Glam Studios, the largest chain of salons operating in the budget segment across the Globe. We aim to bring 2k salons under our brand by 2019 and create a customer base of more than 10 lakh customers.

Key moments of reckoning in business life

Since Glam Studios was started with entirely a new concept in the industry, getting an acceptance from the market was something we were very nervous about. The two key moments worth mentioning here were the first salon we signed on our terms and conditions and that first customer call for a hair spa.
