Addressing delegates at the Vibrant Gujarat 2017 interactive session here, and presenting the potential of the state, Patel said, “Even as Make in India is a proud visionary move, we came out with something called Make in Gujarat, which aggressively promotes manufacturing. Gujarat has taken the lead in 15 out of the 25 sectors covered under Make in India.”
“We provide assistance and support not only to big industries, but also to MSMEs. We have 20 lakh MSMEs in our state which are major job creators. Any MSME that wants to invest in Gujarat with a small amount of money will find opportunities for growth,” he said.
Meanwhile, the biennial Vibrant Gujarat 2017 will be held from January 10 to 13, 2017, in Gandhinagar, and will see a participation of over 2,000 companies, apart from 11 countries partnering the event.
