Kalraj Mishra-led delegation in China to attend International SME fair

Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra is in China to attend the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) 2016.

Mishra reached Guangzho on October 8 with delegation of 124 Indian Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Addressing at the opening ceremony of 13th CISMEF2016 at Guangzhou, China in Hindi, he focused on Indian SME sector. He added, “India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working aggressively to propel the growth of SMEs in India.”

He also met Xin Guobin, Chinese Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology.

India is partnering with Bureau of China International SME in organising the fair as the co-host country through the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and National Small Industries Corporation.

The MSME units represent different states of India across various sectors, comprising of sectors like textile, garments, cycle parts, among others.

“CISMEF is expected to provide huge market opportunity and various business tie ups in the global level for the participating MSMEs from India,” he tweeted.

The participating units in this fair will also benefit by benchmarking their products and quality with the international products, the minister wrote on Twitter.

“The CISMEF has been one of the most important events held in Guangzhou, China. SMEs from allover the world participate in this fair,” he added.

During the visit, he inaugurated Indian Pavilion at CISMEF2016. The Governor of Guangdong province Zhu Xiaodan is also present on the occasion.
