Taylor, who was in India for a short visit, discussed the company’s Make in India initiatives as well as partnering with the Centre’s key initiatives such as Swachh Bharat and Skill India.
A P&G India spokesperson said, “Our Global CEO David S Taylor met with the Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi today along with Mohamed Samir, President IMEA (India Middle East & Africa) & Al Rajwani, MD & CEO, P&G India. They discussed their shared visions for India’s growth story including Swacch Bharat, Make in India, Skill India and Beti Bachao Beti Padao.”
P&G operates in India through three entities which include Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd, Gillette India Ltd and Procter & Gamble Home Products Ltd. As per analysts’ reports, the company has been steadily investing on expanding its manufacturing capacity in the country in past three years.
