Speakers from government were invited to address the workshop. L.B.S. Yadav, Deputy Director MSME Development Institute-Kanpur, gave a presentation on ‘Important schemes for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ in which he highlighted the basic concepts such as MSME registration, public procurement policy, ZED certification scheme, learn manufacturing programme, TEQUP, EET, MATU, domestic fairs, national awards, promotion of ICT, design clinics etc.
Other than these, he also highlighted on the technologies required for activities done under drugs and pharmaceuticals, liquid oral section, injectable section, quality control departments etc in a hospital. Another speaker, Anjani Kumar Srivastava, DGM SIDBI, elaborated on the schemes of SIDBI for MSMEs in medical field. Srivastava gave a presentation on the overview of Indian MSME.
He explained about ‘delivery model of SIDBI’, which is a one-stop solution for MSME sectorm, aiming at providing improved credit flow to MSMEs, credit plus approach and specialized functions of associate organizations. He also elaborated on Stand up India, Sidbi Udyami Mitra, Sidbi Make in India fund for MSME, Risk Capital Scheme and the secured business loan facility provided by SIDBI for MSMEs.
IIA members said that the participants have found the workshop to be of direct relevance to the doctors, hospital and nursing home owners, medical students, and prospective entrepreneurs who intent to venture into medical field. Manish Goel, President of IIA said that due to overwhelming response of public, IIA will continue to organize such events for the upliftment of medical sector for the MSMEs.
