MOVEINSYNC STARTS EMPLOYEE TRANSPORT SERVICE IN VADODARA

In a big relief to the employees and management of large corporates, including multi-national companies, located in Vadodara, commuting for office in the nearby industrial estates is set to become much easier.

A Bengaluru-based enterprise transport service provider, MoveInSync,on Friday launched its app-based employee transport services in the city allowing companies to reduce transport costs and save time.

Making its foray into Gujarat market, MoveInSync looks to take advantage of the large presence of manufacturing, oil & gas and IT services companies set up in and around Vadodara.

Vadodara has one of the largest concentrations of MNC engineering manufacturers, including ABB, Alstom, L&T, Siemens, TBEA, Bombardier besides other big and medium manufacturing players.

“For an enterprise, employee transport forms the third highest cost component after salaries and rentals. Nationally, every year, about $5 billion is spent by companies on employee transportation. By using our app-based cab pick-up and drop service, there will be saving on cost as well as time,” said Deepesh Agarwal, co-founder of MoveinSync.

The company has also launched its services simultaneously in Kochi, Jaipur and Barmer, taking its presence to over 15 cities across the country. “Growing at more than 200 per cent in terms of the user space, the company has addressed the need to smart, effective and safe transportation for employees to their work and back,” he said.

Currently, MoveInSync provides services to about 25-30 companies transporting about 1 lakh employees with coverage of 20 million km every month. “With this, we have managed to reduce the travel time by 10 minutes in each trip on an average. Our operating model has reduced traffic density considerably in all cities that we are present and we hope to replicate that in Vadodara,” he said.

The company expects to touch a turnover of Rs. 8-9 crore this year. In 2015, it had raised close to $4 million from Venture Capital funds Inventus Capital, Saama Capital and Qualcomm Ventures.

To provide enhanced security to women travellers, MoveInSync has introduced SOS features for its android-application based service.

In addition, it has also launched“Click to Call” by which the employee’s phone number is automatically masked when a driver attempts to call him/her for pick up or drop. The number masking applies when the employee attempts to call the driver as well.
