Ahmedabad-based Trukky has tied up with truck parking owners in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi to ensure that his truckers gets easy access to these parking zones at discounted rates. The parking zones provide discounted food as well as beds in their dormitory. “If they don’t have dormitories, we ensure at least they get a bed facility” said Subhasish Das, Founder, Trukky.
According to Das, apart from being a technology-based logistic aggregator, whose main aim is to serve the purpose of providing, matching and optimising the demand and supply of trucks; these kind of small benefits or fringe benefits create value for truckers, as they feel attached with the organisation. “This make them to work with us (organised players) on a long-term basis and they too get a sense of job satisfaction,” said Das.
Backed by Keyur Joshi, CoFounder, Makemytrip and Ahmedabad Angels, Trukky is currently working on creating its own Trukky wallet that would allow small fleet owners to pay fuel directly to the fuel station companies that may provide discount on fuels. Going forward, it will soon tie-up with other highway restaurants chains. “Small things always work wonders,” added Das.
Similarly, Bengaluru-based Lobb, also a long haul logistic player, has an inbuilt its own navigation system that can help truckers travelling to remote places, providing guidance to reach their destination, providing nearby dhabas and puncture centres.
