Background of Promoters
We, Davinder Kamboj and I, are top performing fresh grads. We left our campus jobs when we saw the opportunity – to pursue this dream.
I, after graduating in B.Tech.-Electronics & Communication Engineering with a Bronze medal, have worked extensively in Log Analysis, Disk Forensics and SIEM Technologies prior to starting DSD. I have also been a former co-leader of null & OWASP Chandigarh Chapter.
Davinder has a deep expertise in mobile application development on both android and iOS. In the past, he has developed multiple android games. A passionate “maker” at heart, he is a great believer of DIY.
We were fortunate to be backed by some very experienced professionals who believed in our ability – Sastry Tumuluri & Chandra Tumuluri, who together have close to 60 years of international IT and IT Security experience.
The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!
The first big problem was to build an advanced technology security platform at a low cost. We cracked it by making a shareable platform; by building a Multi-tenancy provisioning and billing layer suitable for thousands of users.
But the human facet of the problem was even bigger – To make security consciousness as part of users’ daily routine. To solve this, we went into excruciating detail in designing the User Experiences of our mobile app, so that we encourage our Users to take their security seriously and to adopt it as a Discipline.
The journey so far!
The journey has been a roller-coaster ride. Each day is a new challenge. Some days are blissful while other days just turn out to be really tough.
There have been times, when we thought we may not survive. But we got over them – and when we look back, it gives immense satisfaction to see how we have grown as a person along the way.
