The Minister inaugurated a three-day national-level industrial machinery exhibition at Silparamam here on July 7.

The zone will create thousands of jobs for educated and unemployed youth in the region, the Minister added. Chennai-Visakhapatnam industrial corridor with an investment of Rs 5,500 crore will become a reality in the next two years, he said and added that it will create new jobs in the Rayalaseema region.

To encourage entrepreneurs, Amaranatha Reddy said that the Industries department has been sanctioning permission to new units within 21 days. “We will release incentives worth Rs 300 crore for eligible industrialists soon,”  Reddy said.The Minister informed that the state government is ready to give more incentives for setting up new industries in Rayalaseema region.

He also said that Hero Motors Group will start its operations at Varadaiahapalem with an investment of Rs 628 crore within two months. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will take part in the groundbreaking ceremony of Hero Motors factory site.

The Minister defended the government’s new Excise policy and said that liquor shops will be relocated from residential localities after careful examination. Tirupati MLA Suguna urged the Minister to take measures for setting up food processing units in large scale in pilgrim city surroundings.

Satyavedu MLA T Aditya mentioned that Sri City has created 30,000 jobs. In the expo, several industries from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have displayed their advanced technology products and machinery.
