Guwahati: Officials of Assam Industries & Commerce Department and Invest India, a national investment promotion and facilitation agency, have discussed issues relating to formulating a new start-up policy for the state.
The meeting focused on agri-sector and state-owned incubation centres in the backdrop of the Startup India programme of the Union Government, an official release said.
The meeting was conducted by Commissioner, Industries and Commerce, K K Dwivedi to formulate a start-up policy for the state.
Representatives of various stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, Software Technology Parks, institutions like IIT-Guwahati, were present at the meeting, the release said.
Dwivedi said that an MoU would be signed very soon to set up a Startup Innovation Centre which would provide training, mentoring, handholding support to start-up companies.
