The Union Government will felicitate the achievers in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector more frequently, KK Jalan, Secretary in the MSME Ministry announced on July 9 evening.
Speaking as Guest of Honour at Super SME Awards organized by SMEpost.Com and WASME, Jalan said he had been hearing numerous stories of SME industry owners running from pillar to post for even small jobs. Speaking in a lighter vein he said, “Humne yahan aapko dhakke khan ke liye nahin balki aapko sammanit sarne ke liye bulaya hai” (We haven’t called you here for any harassment. We will be rather applauding and honouring your achievements).
It is always good to meet the achievers, he said. SMEs always complain of facing hurdles. He quoted the Minister of having said that you guys have to face lot of hardships. Our inspectors go to you and harass you. For a change we haven’t invited here for running from pillar to post but to get Super Achiever’s Awards.
On a serious note he assured the industrialists that the Ministry would ensure ease of doing business to them. We will soon be providing everything online so that you get everything at your workplace only. Our Ministry is working overtime and I assure you that your harassment will be reduced to a great extent. “I don’t promise it will end absolutely. But, it will be reduced considerably”, he said.
Jalan said, “We too will try to give such awards to the achievers. We have already been giving away national awards but will try to introduce some more awards”
