Gujarat honours 51 MSMEs for economic development of state


Total 51 beneficiaries will be honoured including 25 MSME industrialists to whom cheques will be distributed as a gesture of encouragement


Vijay Rupani Gujarat CMChief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani will honour 51 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), instrumental for employment generation and economic development of the state, with awards and assistance cheque on August 19 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

This information was provided by the official Twitter handle of Chief Minister Office of Gujarat.

As per a report by TOI, under State Industrial Policy-2015 implemented in the state, total of 26 MSME workers have been declared winners under scheme for award to best MSME and Export scheme. These winners will be given trophies, cash awards and citation letters by the Chief Minister.

Similarly, under Industrial Policy-2015, under the capital assistance and interest assistance scheme and under other schemes, total 51 beneficiaries will be honoured including 25 MSME industrialists to whom cheques will be distributed as a gesture of encouragement.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and Minister of State (MoS) for industry Rohit Patel will also give away the awards alongside the CM. Reportedly, State Ministers, MLAs, senior officials and more than 5000 MSME industrialists from all 33 districts of the state will participate in the event.

Of the 34 lakh industrialists from India, who have registered for Udhyog Aadhar from October-2015 to July-2017, a total of 3,30,101 MSME industries have received Udhyog Aadhar in Gujarat, which comprises 9.68 per cent of India’s total Udhyog Aadhar registries.
