Kalraj-Mishra-22Meat exports and businesses can soon come under the realm of GST and in this regard, a discussion with the Finance Minister is in the offing, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said while interacting with entrepreneurs of Aligarh in an entrepreneur-talk held here on May 29.

During the dialogue, entrepreneurs put forward various queries related to GST and suggested possible action plans to develop and grow a culture of entrepreneurship in India.

On receiving repetitive suggestions from the participating entrepreneurs for cloning China’s business policies in India, the Minister urged businessmen to avoid such frameworks.

“Chinese products lack quality. India looks up to products which are consistent with international standards and hold the potential to compete in the global market. We now have to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution”, Mishra said.

During the interaction, the Minister indicated an air travel facility may soon commence in the district to attract foreign investors to Aligarh. He informed that the government is trying to make air travel much accessible. He also pushed local UPSIDC and NSIC officials to develop a close communication with entrepreneurs.

Defining the three years of NDA government as a period of unmatched achievement, Mishra enlisted various benefits provided to small and medium enterprises under the Central Government’s Make in India, Skill India, Development and Innovation, Digital India.

Various organisations, including the Locks and Hardware Manufacturers Association, Industrial Estate Producers’ Committee, Aligarh Furniture Lacks and Hardware Traders Association, submitted their suggestions to the Minister during the event, for betterment of SME sector.
