The prime minister appealed people to think about their contribution to the country.  “We are always thinking about where the nation will reach through our work,” PM added.

Modi met 200 young CEOs to share ideas on policies across sectors with a view to promote private investment and create jobs. “Every citizen must have a feeling that this country is mine & I have to work for the country, I want to add something towards its growth,” PM Modi said. Modi cited how Gandhi ji made every person feel his responsibility towards nations freedom. “Every person wanted India to be free but Gandhi ji did something unique- he made every person feel he or she is working for the nation,” PM Modi said. “Mahatma Gandhi turned the freedom struggle into a mass movement and we saw the results,” PM added.

The PM then said that same spirit is required for the development of the nations. “In the same spirit as what Mahatma Gandhi did for the freedom struggle, we need to make India’s development a mass movement,” PM said. “When we work together, we can solve several problems the country faces,” PM added. Modi met CEOs under the ‘Champions of Change’ dialogues. Modi interacted with the CEOs to seek their feedback on how to boost government-to-business partnership to create a new India by 2022, the 75th year of Independence.
