Punjab Govt to launch ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’; ‘one job to one family’ initiative


The programme will also include skill councils, skill training agencies and representatives from various universities.


pu1Aiming at providing one job to at least one family, Punjab government will start its employment mission ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ on September 5.

The launch will witness experts from various industries starting with an employers’ meet to be held at Indian School of Business (ISB) at SAS Nagar, Mohali.

Employers from MSME, large and mega industry and different sectors of industry such as manufacturing, construction, retail, food processing, hospitality, information technology, are expected to attend the programme.

According to a source, a spokesperson said the ‘Employers Meet’ will serve as a platform to get insights from the industry and employers on various aspects of employment generation strategies.

The objective of this initiative is to have wide-ranging conversation with the industry directly in exploring the existing opportunities and creating future opportunities for employment.

The event will also witness participation of Isher Judge Ahluwalia, Chairperson, India Council for Research on International Economics, KrishIyer, India CEO, Walmart, Paul Oswal, Chairman, Vardhman Textiles, Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Group, A S Mittal, Vice Chairman, Sonalika International Tractors, among others, spokesman said.

The event aims to strengthen supply side by empowering youth with skills, generating quality jobs, to bridge industry academia gap and strengthen institutional structure.
