To celebrate the Prime Minister’s birthday on september 17, Rajasthan announced the day as MSME Day and also launched the MSME year. A cleanliness drive was also observed on the occasion.
The state celebrated the day by distributing fruits, running free health camps and planting trees. To mark the launch of sanitation drive ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ in Jaipur, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Urban Development Minister Srichand Kriplani and other senior officials held a broom and took part in the cleanliness drive at Jaipur airport.
“Over the next 15 days we will work over sanitation in local areas and inspire others to do so,” said Vasundhara Raje.
The healthcare cell of the Rajasthan BJP organised 700 health camps, which included free consultation, check-up and medicines. Kali Charan Saraf, cabinet minister for health, cabinet colleague Rajendra Rathore distributed fruits distributed fruits in hospitals.
The Chief Minister also presented awards to small businessmen, entrepreneurs and artisans on occasion of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Day.
The Chief Minister was previously scheduled to inaugurate the Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign at Gator in Jaipur and present awards at the MSME ceremony in a private hotel. However, in consideration of her health condition the events were shifted to Jaipur Airport.
