Suresh Prabhu to inaugurate 4th India International MSME & Startup Expo in Delhi


WomePreneurs and SC/ST entrepreneurs to be provided free stalls at Expo; 15 plus Union & State Ministers to grace the event comprising 20000 visitors, 250 exhibitors, 50 overseas participants, 12 concurrent summit and 100 B2B & B2C meetings


4th India International MSME & Startup Expo-2017MSME Development Forum is all set to organise the 4th India International MSME & Startup Expo in association with Ministry of Railways, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, and Invest India, from August 24 to 26 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

The Expo will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu, with Union MoS for External Affairs V K Singh and MoS for DoNER Jitendra Singh and the three-day event will host a platform for exhibitions and speaker sessions to exhibit and highlight the Central government’s key initiatives like ‘Make in India’, ‘Startup India’ for the MSME sector and start-up ecosystem. The forum also aims to address various challenges faced by small and medium entrepreneurs through various sessions. 

We aim to attune to the unique needs of the MSME & ​S​tart-up ​community and to provide solutions to them to combat the challenges and critical issues concerning operations. The primary focus of the expo is to motivate the youth & prospective entrepreneurs to start their own enterprise and also educate them regarding the main difference between start-up and MSME,” said Rajnish Goenka, Chairman, MSME Development Forum.

To boost budding women and SC/ST entrepreneurs, this edition of the Expo provides special incentives wherein such business persons can set up their stalls for free by just registering at the Forum’s website, on a first-cum-first-serve basis.

The 2017 edition of the Expo will take place alongside 2nd Startup Fest-2017, as well as Laghu Udyog Vyapar Mela-2017 during the three days.

Under this edition of the Startup Fest, a select group of 20 start-ups will be shortlisted to showcase their ideas, products and services to the dignitaries and the participating delegates. MSME Development Forum will provide complimentary stalls to these 20 shortlisted startups worth 1 lakh each.

Similarly the Vyapar Mela will be an opportunity for MSMEs, start-ups, and handlooms and handicrafts craftsmen and artisans to market, propagate, showcase and sell their products & services to thousands of domestic and international buyers & visitors.

Continuing the legacy of last year, more than 15 Union & State Ministers and other stake holders such as prospective ​​entrepreneurs, innovators, corporate, PSUs, ​banks,​ industries, ​​businessman, ​foreign ​countries/ ​embassies/ ​delegates, investors, ​business chambers & associations, service support providers, buyers/ sellers/ franchisers, universities and media are participating in this year’s Expo, too. Apart from these more than 20000 visitors, 250 exhibitors, 50 overseas participants, 12 concurrent summit and 100 B2B & B2C meetings will also be the part of this mega e​xpo.
