T-Hub joins hand with UTC to launch advanced tech lab for start-ups


The emerging tehnnology lab will help and develop innovative solutions leveraging the start-up ecosystem, and it will also serve as a platform to enhance awareness about UTC’s Smart Building products.


T-Hub-Hyderabad 33Hyderabad-based start-up incubator T-Hub along with US-based firm United Technologies Corporation (UTC), have collaborated to launch an advanced emerging technologies laboratory. The announcement was made on September 12 in Hyderabad.

The emerging technology lab will help and develop innovative solutions leveraging the start-up ecosystem, and it will also serve as a platform to enhance awareness about UTC’s Smart Building products.

Speaking on the occasion, Jay Krishnan, chief executive officer (CEO), T-Hub said that digital software and hardware is a game changing segment for India. The country is witnessing high entrepreneurial interest and expect this new facility will greatly boost the technological capabilities of start-ups working in this arena. “The upcoming lab will be housed at T-Hub’s catalyst building,” he added.

John Galbraith, Vice-President (Global Engineering: Climate, Controls and Security) said that this is a great initiative for the start-up ecosystem in India. “The partnership with T-Hub is a step towards building new products and content which in turn helps the local community,” he added.

UTC has its largest Research and Design centre for Commercial Businesses at Hyderabad (HRDC). This US-based firm provides technology products and services to the building and aerospace industries.
