To encourage girls and women in the field of entrepreneurship, a one-day seminar on ‘Women in Micro/Small Enterprises’ was organised by JNTUA Engineering College, Anantapur, on September 19.
According to a source, addressing the seminar, Vice-Chancellor Professor K Rajagopal explained the importance of women and their greatness in the current society. He said that women can achieve anything. Encouraging the audience, Rajagopal also shared successful stories of women.
Rajagopal suggested the girls to launch their start-ups in which in return they can contribute to the growth of the country and help in the progress.
Women Cell Coordinator Professor G Prashanthi also advised the students to work hard and achieve greater heights. She also asked the students to make plans in order to sustain themselves in the future.
She also said that the government is lending help and support and also issuing license within 21 days to start any startup. Students can equally avail the facility, she added.
In-charge Vice-Chancellor Professor K Rajagopal, Rector Professor D Subba Rao were the chief guests.
The program also witnessed the presence of honourary guests and District Industries General Manager G Sudharshan Babu, Sudheer, teaching, non-teaching staff and students in large numbers also participated in the programme.
