“My government is fully committed to providing means of livelihood to everyone, be it through employment or self-employment. Hence we created a fund of Rs 1000 crore for start-up schemes to facilitate self-employment for the youth,” he said.
The CM emphasised that the Yatra is a result of the inspiration induced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) on September 15 to further bolster the campaign.
Furthermore, Rs 25 lakh will be given to 350 leading educational institutions in State to encourage around 40,000 students to take up self-employment through start-up projects.
To tackle with problems pertaining to start-ups, government is also likely to commence a dedicated mobile application, besides the already setup call centre and start-up website, to find and provide solutions.
A very bullish Adityanath claims to generate 70 lakh new jobs in the next five years through government schemes. He is aiming to boost ‘One District, One Product’ scheme to create job opportunities.
Startup Yatra will be organised in two phases covering 15 cities across UP. The event is divided into two categories – One for big scale cities, where panel of speakers will engage on innovational development of UP with start-ups; and two for small scale cities, where the focus will be to build such a start-up ecosystem wherein an economical State emerges. The Yatra will conclude on October 10 in Lucknow.
