Before Knowlarity, businesses of any kind had to spend a lot of their time and money in setting up in-efficient call-response system. Launched in August of 2009, the platform offers cloud-based communications solutions to businesses in emerging markets.

A technocrat at heart, Ambarish Gupta is the driving force behind Knowlarity’s success in the domestic and international market. Ambarish is a melting pot of ideas having worked and travelled extensively around the globe.

Having realised the massive number of SMEs in emerging markets and their sales, marketing and distribution problems, Ambarish decided to take the future path and hence emerged Knowlarity.

“Knowlarity was born out of the necessity of the industry to manage their phone numbers in a more powerful way on a hosted automated manner. We started offering two packages of solutions – one for the large enterprises and the other for the small business. Unbelievable but true, our first customer was the present CM of Orissa, who used our solution to support his election campaign,” says Knowlarity Communications Founder Ambarish Gupta.

Trusted by 15000+ businesses across 65+ countries, Knowlarity claims to be the only SAAS based company in India in the Cloud Communication space which has turned profitable.

In the business since the last 7 years, Knowlarity provides a suite of hosted products that makes business communication reliable and intelligent.

Its flagship products SuperReceptionist and SmartIVR can process over two million calls an hour. Backed by Sequoia Capital and Mayfield, two of the most prestigious Venture Capital firms worldwide, Knowlarity is headquartered in Singapore and has offices located in India, Turkey, UAE and the Philippines.

In 2012, Knowlarity raised $ 6.6 million in Series-A funding from Sequoia Capital, followed by $16 million in Series-B round in 2014 from Sequoia Capital and Mayfield. In November, 2016, it raised $20 million in its Series-C led by Dubai-based private equity firm Delta Partners.

The latest investment takes the total funds raised by Knowlarity so far to $41 million, making it the most capitalised cloud telephony company in Asia.

Reflecting the true spirit of the ‘Make in India, for the world’, Knowlarity’s mission is to transform the business to customer communication industry in the emerging markets with personalization, automation, AI and analytics.

The company has grown from scratch to a global venture with 300+ employees, 1000 partners and 8 offices in India, South East Asia and Middle East.  Continuous innovation and excellence has led to Knowlarity receiving many awards and recognition such as the SMEpost Super SME Award-2016, Amazon Excellence Award, Silicon India Startup of the Year, Nasscom Emerge 50 and more.

“As a software company, the way forward is to enter into mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with local businesses. At the same time we have no intention of ignoring our domestic market, which provides the bulk of our 6000-and-growing customers,” concludes Ambarish.
