cloudcomputingMicrosoft is set to help over 50 million small and medium businesses (SMBs) adopt “intelligent” Cloud and evolve in digital journey of India with the secure end-to-end new-age offerings, said Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari.

With the Industry 4.0 on doorstep, enterprises are likely to turn software-centric at a point of time to come and thus the MS India President is bullish that an “intelligent” Cloud will pave the path for their digital journey.

The Cloud capability is opening up new revenue opportunities for the SMBs. Think about it in many ways: The access the SMBs can have with these offerings which multiply in terms of what they can do and the kind of services they can provide,” said Maheshwari in a recent interaction with IANS.

Over a span of 40 years, Microsoft has uniquely positioned itself in India with a large partner eco-system to serve SMBs. The tech giant has 9,000 partners in India through which it caters in 250 plus cities.

To make the digital journey easier for SMBs and create opportunities for partners and customers, Microsoft has recently flagged off ‘Future Decoded on Wheels’ from Delhi – a coach that will traverse 25 cities and 80 key clusters and help SMBs get in-depth knowledge of latest solutions, new-age devices and access to business experts.

We are targeting 25 cities where we will go and provide real-time experience to the SMBs. I am sure we will touch a single digit percentage of those SMBs over the 13,000 kms that we will cover,” said Maheshwari.
