GoDaddy.svgGlobal internet registrar and web hosting company, GoDaddy, has announced the launch of its new Business Email Service for small businesses in India. According to the company the service will be made available to the SMEs in India for Rs 39 per month ($0.60 approx.) and will include all the features of its professional email solution with secure, custom email accounts that can be accessed on any desktop or mobile device.

GoDaddy’s Business Email gives small businesses a more professional look by using their domain name in their email addresses to communicate with customers,” said Andrew Low Ah Kee, Executive Vice President, GoDaddy International.

Investing in the right technology is an important decision for small businesses to help them grow. GoDaddy’s Business Email, along with 24X7 customer care, helps to ensure that our customers can run their businesses effectively with the benefits of a professional, enterprise-grade email solution.

The company has also launched a website protection service globally to keep customers’ sites clean and free of malware. GoDaddy Website Security is powered by Sucuri, which was acquired by the web-hosting firm to strengthen its security offerings, and provide malware protection.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, ‘why would a hacker target me? I’m just a small business. But hackers aren’t what you see in the movies – they now build sophisticated tools that hunt for known vulnerabilities on any website. Instead of breaking into one car, this is like a group of robots checking a parking lot of cars for unlocked doors,” said Kevin Doerr, Senior Vice President, Security Products, GoDaddy.

Websites owned by small businesses are far from impervious to this, although they may not have the preventative resources available to larger companies. We believe enterprise-grade security should be available to everyone, and that’s what we’re bringing to our customers with GoDaddy Website Security.

Website Security offers continuous monitoring and daily malware scanning to detect any known security holes or issues on a website. If a website is infected by malware, GoDaddy’s Website Security claims to guarantee fast response time, malware removal, DDoS mitigation, CDN accelerator and blacklist removal. Website Security premium plans add a second layer of protection, including a Web Application Firewall (WAF) that blocks malicious traffic before it gets to the website.

Talking about the email service for SMEs, the company states that it will deliver a fully-synchronized email experience on mobile, tablet and desktop with IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol), along with security features and an ad-free email experience. Providing 10GB of storage per mailbox, eliminating space-sharing between email users.

The SME email features also include virus and spam filters blocking over 300 million unwanted, potentially dangerous emails every day. Along with enabling users to email anywhere and on any device with 99.9 per cent guaranteed uptime, customers will also have access to customer care experts, easing the setup process along with offering support throughout the customer lifecycle.

GoDaddy’s Website Security products are available internationally starting at Rs 451 per month ($6.99approx.) whereas the Business Email is currently available in three different pricing options with an annual billing plan. Individuals will be charges Rs 49 per month ($0.76 approx.) for 1 mailbox, group accounts will be charged Rs 45 per month ($0.70 approx.) per mailbox for a minimum of 5 mailboxes and corporate users will be charged Rs 39 per month per mailbox for a minimum of 15 mailboxes.
