The Government has so far not provided waiver to any industry or company from mandatory minimum procurement of 20 percent from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE).

No ministry or government department has violated this provision while securing their procurements, an official statement said.

The mandatory procurement order came in to effect from April one this year.

Various Government Departments and PSUs have been able to abide by the 20 percent procurement from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of their annual goods or services as stipulated by the Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Order, 2012.

Though the order came into being in 2012, it became mandatory from April this year.
