BSE SME has on-boarded the 187th company on the bourse. On July 18, Gujarat’s 7NR Limited Retail (Gini & Jony Ltd) Ahmedabad listed on the SME platform.
“Trading Members of the Exchange are informed that on Thursday, July 18, 2017, Equity Shares of Ridhi Corporate Services Ltd will be listed in the ‘M’ group of securities in the list of SME platform of exchange,” said BSE in a notice issued.
Just a day before 7NR’s listing, Mumbai-based GG Engineering Ltd had become the 186th company to be listed on the SME platform. Of the total companies listed so far, 30 companies have migrated to the main board.
Setup under the Companies Act (1956), 7NR Limited Retail Limited was launched on December 21, 2012. The company designs children’s clothing under the famous brand name Gini and Jony.
Significantly, Ajay Thakur, Head of BSE’s SME Platform, recently said in an interview to SMEpost.com that the platform is batting for a double century in SME listing by 2017.
Since the beginning of the SME platform of the Bombay Stock Exchange, about 214 companies have drafted the form of BSE’s SME platform to reverse the funds under IPO, of which 184 companies have been listed.
The total market cap of these companies is 17,588.71 crore rupees. So far, these companies have raised Rs 1451.80 crore through the SME platform.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had issued guidelines in the context of starting SME Exchange Platform on March 18, 2010. The Bombay Stock Exchange launched its SME platform on March 13, 2012, and became the first stock exchange to get permission from SEBI for SME Exchange.
