Highlighting the importance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the economy’s development, the Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said expansion of small businesses are necessary for growth of the nation, and also for making families self-sufficient.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken steps to transform the country into a manufacturing hub which will invite investment and enhance skills of the youths, he said.
“India will become a developed nation after becoming the manufacturing hub”, Mishra said at an industrial fair organised by Laghu Udhyog Bharti here.
People in Rajasthan have entrepreneurship skills, therefore there is vast potential of small scale industries in the state, he added.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje said the state government is going to organize industrial exhibitions, buyers and sellers meet and Make in India programmes at the district level.
The state launched the MSME policy last year and after being appreciated by the Centre other states adopted the policy.
“The state government has decided to institute the Rajasthan Udyog Award, Best Woman Entrepreneur, Best Business Practice and other awards for the sector”, Raje said.
Union MoS for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal said the central government is promoting traditional enterprises, and MSME conclaves would be organised in states.
