NIRMALA_SITHARThe commerce and industry ministry said it has responded to almost all the queries raised by people on its ‘twitter seva’ hashtag and urged people to make optimum use of this facility.

“People had approached in quite a big number and 99 per cent had been served within the two working days,” an official statement said quoting Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The ministry launched the ‘twitter seva’ service on April 21 last year to address issues and grievances of startups, exporters and importers, and other stakeholders.

She said this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to respond to citizen’s queries.

“Feel free to use this,” she said, adding through this seva, the Ministry has not only responded to queries that pertain to the ministry but has responded to almost 1,000 queriesthat belonged to other ministries.

The government is widely using the social media to disseminate information related to its programmes and policies.
