Spurred by the prospect of participating in the growth story of Indian Petrochemicals and related industries, All India Plastic Industries Association (AIPIA) has organised P4 Expo India 2016, an international trade show and conference on plastics, petrochemicals, printing and packaging, at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.
It is a four-day event inaugurated on 5th April and is supported by Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Ministry of MSME and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).
Organised by the apex body of the Indian plastics industry AIPIA, in association with Dubai based trade fair organiser, Verifair, the inaugural edition of P4 EXPO 2016 has hosted country pavilions from China, Korea, Taiwan, EU, Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia.
Minister of State (MoS) for MSME Giriraj Singh, South African Deputy Minister of Small Business Development Elizabeth Thabethe, MoS for Chemicals and Fertilizers Hansraj Gangaram Ahir and MoS for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan were the dignitaries at the opening ceremony.
Giriraj Singh also visited the Invest Odisha stall at the Expo focused on promoting small businesses in Odisha.
The Indian Petrochemicals and related industries – Plastics, Packaging and Printing – have registered record growth rates of over 20% in the past decade. Largest of the P4, Chemicals and Petrochemicals alone are industries expected to touch US$ 200 billion turnover by 2020.
The other three are expected to see a growth of over US$ 80 billion by 2020 – with the Packaging industry at US$ 43.7 billion by 2016, printing industry touching US$ 20.17 billion and plastic industry at US$ 20 billion, by 2020.
This is making India an attractive market for the global investors.
P4 Expo India 2016 is expected to bring together the entire value chain of Petrochemical, Plastics, Packaging and Printing industries together and throw open the best networking opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.
