gst_The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is leaving no stone unturned to simplify the Goods and Services Tax (GST) for MSME sector. The Ministry has initiated several schemes to simplify the registration of MSMEs under GST.

As per the data provided by Ministry, 54 workshops have been organized for 2488 entrepreneurs with over 52 Industry Associations to ease the roll-out of new tax regime for MSMEs. With this, MSME units can understand the nature of the new tax system with ease.

The Ministry has informed through its Twitter handle that the Digital MSME Scheme has been launched to solve the cloud-based GST problems, under which the government is giving subsidy of upto Rs 1 lakh, as earlier reported by SMEpost.

The Ministry said that GST Cell Development Commissioner-MSME is working in the Delhi office. Apart from this, the remaining MSME Development Institutes and Technology Centers pan-India are also performing their bit to connect MSMEs with GST.

The Ministry has said that a monitoring mechanism has been set up to resolve the problems faced by MSMEs with regard to GST. MSME units can gather information related to their complaints, suggestions and bills regarding the new tax system on this internet complaint monitoring system of the MSME Ministry. This facility will be made available to not only MSMEs but their employees, associations, potential entrepreneurs and others.

The Ministry has created a single-page form through which the units can file their complaints. Using this online form, MSME units will be able to convey the government about their problems related to the bill and its roll-out.
