IntelBengaluru: Intel India hosted its first Maker Lab Startup Conclave and Demo Showcase at its Bengaluru campus.

The ‘Intel India Maker Lab’ was set up about a year ago to help start-ups accelerate their hardware and systems innovation towards creation of new products and solutions by offering infrastructure, technology, tools, and mentorship support.

In the first batch, 17 start-ups have utilised Intel India Maker Lab facilities for their projects in the areas of education, sports, health, agriculture, BFSI, and e-governance, across IoT, Cloud, and Client Compute, the company said in a statement.

Out of these, nine start-ups have already launched their products in the market; five start-ups have their products ready and are moving to customer trial stage, while the remaining three are in the design stage, the statement added.

Nivruti Rai, General Manager, Intel India & Vice-President of the Platform Engineering Group at Intel, said: “Intel has a strong and consistent focus on accelerating innovation, systems design and entrepreneurship in India, key ingredients for making the Digital India vision a reality.”

Jitendra Chaddah, Senior Director, Strategy & Operations, Intel India, added that these solutions will help solve real consumer and business needs and contribute towards realising the Digital India and Make in India vision.
