Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is implementing the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) to develop global competitiveness among Indian MSMEs.

Speaking at the Lok Sabha, Minister of State, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri Giriraj Singh said the this programme targets to enhance the entire value chain of the MSME sector through various schemes like Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme for MSMEs, Promotion of Information and Communication Tools (ICT) in MSME sector, Technology and Quality Upgradation Support to MSMEs, Design Clinics Scheme for MSMEs and many more.

He further added while answering the Lok Sabha, “These schemes have been implemented across the country by various MSME-DIs and implementing agencies. Funds have already been released to the MSME-DIs and implementing agencies, so that they can transfer the funds to the respective beneficiaries and MSMEs throughout the country.”
