MSME-ExpoChennai: MSME Development Institute is organising a Vendor development programme and exhibition-cumbuyer-sellers meet at Valluvarkottam for two days from 7 October.

Supported by National Small Industries Corporation and State Department of Industries and Commerce, Punjab National Bank and Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two day programme is intended to help micro and small units to market their products to large industries including railways, defence establishments and public sector undertakings.

“By bringing larger industries and the micro and small industries on the same platform, mutual understanding between the buyers and sellers will be established,” said MSME Deputy Director K Jayachandran in a release.

Public Sector Undertakings like Railways, BHEL, NLC, BEML, HAL, are likely to participate in the event and showcase their requirements and will assess the competencies of the potential MSMEs participating in the event. Vendor registration procedures of respective PSUs/ PSEs will be explained by the officials representing major enterprises.

There will be a technical seminar facilitating the PSUs/ large scale industries and MSMEs to understand each other’s requirement and capabilities enabling the deserving MSMEs to be enlisted as vendors/ suppliers.

The sessions will facilitate exchange of information on latest technologies and policy developments. A souvenir will be released on the occasion incorporating the details of participating enterprises.

Schemes of the Ministry of MSME, Vendor registration/ enlistment procedures of participating PUSs along with their requirement of stores will be included. Financial schemes available for existing MSMEs for diversifi cation, modernisation and expansion will also be included.
