Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India is in the process of upgrading and expanding the network of Technology Centres (TCs) – also referred to as Tool Rooms & Technology Development Centres by upgrading existing TCs and establishing 15 New TCs at a total Project cost of INR 2,200 crores including World Bank funding of USD 200 million under the Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP).

The TCs are to be located in various parts of the country to cater the needs of micro, small & medium enterprises through access to technology, skill development, consultancy etc.

Seeking manufacturing technology partner, Ministry said in a advertisement, “It is the intent of the Government of India to appoint three Manufacturing Technology Partners (MTP) for Fragrance and Flavour Sector, Footwear Sector and Glass Sector.” 

The services of the MTPs will identify and define globally competitive technological capabilities required by TCs, assist in their execution & provide handholding during roll out. The MTPs will also support up gradation of existing TCs – FFDC Kannauj, CFTI Agra & Chennai and CDGI, Firozabad and augment services being offered by them

The MTPs will also support TCs to improve the productivity & competitiveness of MSMEs in the respective sectors.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted online only at Central Public Procurement Portal given below-

Interested firms would be required to enrol/register on the website.

The last date for the submission of the documents is 27 October 2016.

About 1.79 lakh youths were trained in tool rooms and more than 8000 trainees benefitted under Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) during 2015-16.
