Bridging the gap between skilled workforce and employers is a critical step in enhancing employment opportunities for youth. In a pioneering move, Ministry of MSME organised a job fair in Deoria on March 26-27, 2016. The fair was a big success and it provided jobs to 1069 people, hired by different companies, from Deoria and Kushinagar district.
It was presented by National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Ni-Msme) and Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. The technology platform was powered by JobsDialog, a recruitment solution that connects job seeker to small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Deoria Job Fair is an effort by the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, to bridge the gap between the talented youth of Deoria seeking meaningful career and employers looking for talented youth. It is a platform where the youth can discover employment opportunities and employers can identify and hire suitable jobseekers.
“It is a platform where the youth can discover employment opportunities and employers can identify and hire suitable jobseekers,” the organisers said.
Some of the employers participating in the fair were Aditya Birla Financial Services Group, Crown Electric Company, Dalal Stock Advisory Company, Deal 4 You Private Limited, TMI Group, HDFC Bank Ltd and more.
MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra appreciated the participation by the people who made it successful. “Every skilled unemployed will get job. In the future such event will be held on bigger scale. I will try to do all the needful for providing jobs to youth and hope from now onwards they won’t have to migrate for jobs to other places”, Mishra added. Deoria is the Parliamentary Constituency of Mishra.
