MSMEs hails land allotment for auto ancillary firms in Madhya Pradesh

Shivraj_Singh_ChouhanThe local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Pithampur have welcomed the Cabinet’s decision to allot land to the auto and related ancillary industries. The land comprises about 461.607 hectares private acquired land and 16.70 hectares of Government land, valued at Rs.740 crore.

Gautam Kothari, President of Pithampur Audhyogik Sanghthan, Gautam Kothari, said the local industries will largely benefit from the move. Parts of the land have been allotted to Japan and Korea to set up the industries.

The Union Cabinet gave its approval for returning approximately 478.307 hectares of land to the Madhya Pradesh Government for the purpose.

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had already signed an agreement for cooperation to promote Japan Industrial Township at Pithampur near Indore in October 2015 to pave the way to facilitate Japanese investments, he said.

The land would be utilized by the State Government for allotment to the auto and related ancillary industries which will have a synergistic effect with the existing NATRAX project.
