Kalraj Mishra, Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises was given a dividend cheque of Rs.29.05 crore for the year 2015-16 by Ravindra Nath, CMD-NSIC, in the presence of Giriraj Singh and Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary, Ministers of State, Ministry of MSME and KK Jalan, Secretary, Ministry of MSME.
Ravindra Nath, CMD-NSIC informed that this year Corporation has paid dividend of Rs. 29.05 crore from 2015-16, (which is the highest ever dividend paid by NSIC) as against Rs. 17.02 crore for 2014-15. It was also informed that the corporation has done overall business of Rs. 21,242 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs. 20,004 crore in the previous years and its Profit Before Tax for the year increased to Rs. 156.95 crore as against Rs. 132.59 crore in the year 2014-15.
Speaking on the occasion, Kalraj Mishra appreciated the performance of NSIC achieved during the year 2015-16. Mishra also stated that the Ministry is committed towards enhancing the competitiveness of Indian MSMEs so as to give momentum to the ‘Make in India’ movement of the Prime Minister.
Giriraj Singh and Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary also appreciated the efforts of NSIC for facilitating MSMEs through its various activities.
Secretary MSME also emphasized on the need for NSIC to reach out to larger number of MSMEs while facilitating them in their growth.
CMD, NSIC also informed that the Corporation besides facilitating MSMEs through its various schemes also undertaken a number of CSR initiatives across the country in the areas of education, skill development, health care etc with special emphasis on the differently abled/weaker section of the socities.
Other officials present on the occasion were S.N Tripathi, AS & DC (MSME), Manoj Joshi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, B.H. Anil Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, A.K Mittal Director-Finance(NSIC) and other officials of the Ministry of MSME and NSIC.
