Indore: Renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Group, after a successful stint in ayurvedic medicines and food processing, is eyeing to debut into textiles from Madhya Pradesh. The yoga guru announced on October 22 that Patanjali brand will enter into textiles and dairy sectors in a big way from next year.
“We will come into textiles from next year and will manufacture both men and women wear,” he told on the sidelines of Global Investors Summit.
“From fashion wear to jeans, coat to langot (inner wear), Patanjali is going full steam ahead towards its goal of promoting manufacturing in India,” he said.
Speaking at the summit, Ramdev said said that the textile industry of the state is working on half of their capacities but from next year the situation will reverse.
He said that Patanjali group is presently growing at 100 per cent annually, and by next yea the growth can be around 200 per cent, and MP will benefit from the growth.
He said, “Knowledge, skill and expertise is very important to succeed in life but besides this courage is one of the important ingredient.”
The yoga guru said in a scenario when countries like the United States and United Kingdom are stuck at 1-2 per cent growth rate Madhya Pradesh is growing at double digit.
