manufacturing industryThe provision made in the Andhra Pradesh Budget 2017-18 towards industrial incentives is less than the backlog, according to the Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

While the backlog, to be released for industrial incentives, is more than Rs. 1,500 crore, the provision made is only about Rs. 1,000 crore, FTAPCCI President Ravindra Modi said on March 15.

In a statement, he said this while highlighting that the Rs. 2,086 crore outlay on industries is an increase of 113% over the 2016-17 outlay.

There is lot of emphasis on food processing and a proposal to establish a MSME Authority for Rejuvenation of MSME with an outlay of Rs. 125 crore.
