Uttar Pradesh Government has approved the single window clearance system for all the MSME units in the state.
Nitin Agarwal , Minister for MSME & Export Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh confirmed the news while thanking Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav on social media.
Interestingly, single window clearance was a long pending demand of MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh but was fulfilled at a time when the state is headed for Assembly elections in next four months.
Earlier, single window system was only available for big corporate house who want to invest more than 50 crore.

Ministry will come up a single application form to deliver a high-quality and responsive service to investors. Government’s move will increase the ease of doing business for the entrepreneurs who want to set up a unit in the state.
MSMEs contribute almost 60% to total GDP of Uttar Pradesh. Total registered units in Uttar Pradesh as per Udhyog Adhar Memorandum (UAM) are 2, 01494 till October 3, 2016 and this number is continuously increasing.
Industry associations welcome this move and thanked the state government.
Babu Ram Bhati, Noida Chapter Chairman, Indian Industries Association (IIA) welcomed this move and said, “We have been demanding this since long. Now government has accepted it. It will really give a boost to this sector”.
V K Seth, Secretary General, Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) said, “It is very good move. Single window system has been always beneficial for industries. We hope that all the department will implement it as soon as possible”.
